Protest or tantrum:
In the most liberal city in America, San Francisco Police Chief Alex Fagan displayed some of the weapons taken from ‘peace’ protesters in the recent marches that have shut down large parts of the city. They included hammers, rocks, slingshots and gas masks.
Mayor Willie Brown is upset with the million-dollar-a-day cost that protests have added to his police budget.
Noting that there probably isn’t a single Republican living in the city, Brown raised the question of the point of the protests, and who they were out to hurt.
"If they want to go after (architects of the war) they should go to Texas, or Washington, D.C."
"It's like defecating in your own nest," he said.
