Romney, not surprisingly, likes prosecutors for judicial picks. But most District Attorneys and Attorney General's in the state have been Democrats. Young lawyers applying for jobs in those offices understand that they don't have to be a Democrat to be hired and promoted, but it sure doesn't hurt.

So it shouldn't be a big surprise that when Romney goes looking for prosecutors with Massachusetts experience for judicial posts, he finds mostly Democrats.
