The power of giving:
A Katrina evacuee and his dog, airlifted to Cape Cod and housed and fed at government expense, allegedly broke some rules at the shelter, such as returning from an off-base excursion to a bar severely drunk and not for the first time, threatening fellow evacuees before being carted off to the State Police drunk tank.
He was told not to return to Otis and was provided with a free airline ticket for himself, his dog, and his girlfriend to anywhere in the US. He accepted the offer and chose go to San Francisco.
Of course, this being America, he's suing.
