Welcome to the future:

To predict what 2007 has in store, the Globe turned to experts and the Herald brought out the psychics. There's probably not a lot of real difference between the two. This time of year everyone is a fortune teller. Some folks are predicting gloom and doom, others boom.

Meteorologists make predictions every day, but this guy goes out on a longer limb than usual to predict a change in attitude on global warming.

Technology prognostications are always fun. How about one that predicts the end of blogs.

Futurist Mark Anderson has a pretty good track record at this stuff. He sees a good year ahead for Microsoft and electric cars. Here are some predictions from a Microsofter. And my favorite tech prediction is from Silicon Valley Sleuth who thinks AOL will buy Digg.

Politics? Adam Reilly's crystal ball shows Jon Keller and Deval Patrick at each other's figurative throats. Keller himself sees a future President Romney. Joe Scarborough thinks Newt Gingrich will push Romney aside. Yikes!

Kos sees, among other things, the Patriots beating the Saints in the Super Bowl. (I know, not a political prediction, but still a pretty good one.)

Celebrity predictions are always fun because they never let us down. And I'm impressed at how interactive they are. This page lets you edit or add your own predictions, including which religion Madonna will adopt this year. Here, you can give your credit card number to get to actually talk to the psychic making the prediction!

And I predict a certain amount of people will.
