The legal bazaar:

Boston Lawyer Jim Dilday, quoted today in the Herald, seems to give some weight to the accusation that he and his client are trying to "shakedown" another lawyer for half a million dollars to avoid a legal and public embarrassment.

...Asked yesterday if the price has gone up, Baynes’ attorney, James Dilday, laughed.

“Clearly, (Egbert) has got to defend his client,” Dilday said. “We think there’s merit to this (complaint), but we’re not adverse to talking to Mr. Egbert and seeing if we can resolve it.”...

Price gone up? With two days, now, of news coverage, in which the woman making the charges has posed for photographs and apparently cooperated with reporters on stories laying out the humiliating details of the accusations, the public embarrassment has probably peaked. At this point the price should be dropping.
