"Millicom International Cellular - whose major shareholder is Sweden's Kinnevik, which also has major ties to Metro Boston - donated $2.5 million to Guatemalan President Alfonso Portillo in 1999."
So: the NY Times is buying a piece of Boston Metro, which is owned by a Swedish company that has a large shareholder that also owns shares in another company that gave money to some Central American politician who's now under indictment.
THEREFORE: Metro is corrupt, QED! Right? Or is the Herald doing an excellent job at playing the corporate version of Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon?
Hey, I just realized that by typing this on a computer with parts made in China, I've become personally involved in driving the Dali Lama from his homeland.
