Traffic rant:
I don't know about 485, but the afternoon backup around the South Bay Mall has gotten so bad since the Big Dig traffic 'improvements' in the area that they have to hire half a dozen detail guys each day to pull traffic through the lights where before things flowed smoothly on their own. And even with the cops pulling traffic, it's still a mess. Traffic now spills over into and saturates Mass Ave and the Norfolk Ave. neighborhood in Roxbury.
This was never a problem until they fixed it. Who's brilliant idea was this reconfiguration?
