Michele McPhee, writing a news article that perhaps should have gone on the opinion page, insists that the Catholic Church and Cape Verdeans are being shortchanged in anti-violence funding. It's nice that she's concerned about violence in that community, but this is the second time she's written this same story without specifics. What gives?

Maybe next time she could point to those credible Catholic and Cape Verdean leaders, out in the fight, with existing street level efforts worthy of funding.
