All you need is love:
Marion Barry, to the guys who robbed him:
"I have no animosities," Barry declared. "I don't even want you prosecuted, really. I love you. Give yourself up. Call the police. . . . I will do all I can to advocate non-prosecution."
What do the police want with the guys if Barry insists they not be prosecuted?
No animosity? Yeah, and apparently no concern for any of the other people that the guys robbed before and will rob later. Brilliant. Just because you walk away from a problem, that doesn't mean that the problem goes away, or that someone else is going to handle it.
